Scion XB Limo at SEMA Show

I've always been a big fan of the SEMA show, it's a lot more thrilling then the North American Auto Show. Why you might ask? Well because of all the oddities you might see, there's so many cool different custom cars to look at. They give you good ideas for customizing your own car. For instance this Scion car has been turned into a limo. While I'm pretty sure you're not going to go out in your garage and turn your car into a limo, still the custom rims on the sweet ride may be to your liking. Or maybe the two tone paint job, the red and black really look great on the Scion xB limo. Expect to see this custom ride at the 2010 SEMA show.

Happy Car Halloween

I wish everyone a safe and happy Halloween from Aftermarket Car Parts blog. I found this neat picture of James Cameron's Alien clawing out of a car. This has to be the coolest dressed up car I have ever seen, it must of took hours of decorating to get it right. I'm not quite sure what kind of car it is, it's either a PT Cruiser or some foreign car. I first thought it was a Porsche because the way the headlights are sticking up, but after looking at the front bumper and how tall this car sits, it's obviously not a Porsche.

Dukes Of Hazzard Dodge Charger Jessica Simpson Wallpaper

One of the hottest wallpapers to have on your computer, hottie Jessica Simpson posing next the the 1969 General Lee Dodge Charger. The 1969 Dodge Charger is one of the most inspirational cars in muscle car history, the Charger spawned millions of Dodge Charger enthusiasts across the world. I always see at least one or two of these General Lee replicas as the Woodward Dream Cruise each year. If you would like this as your computer's desktop background, just click the picture, it will then take you to the full size image. Then right click the image and click set as desktop background.

Jay Leno’s Blastolene with Continental AV-1790 Tank Engine

This is the rarest of rare custom cars, a Blastolene Special with a Continental AV1790 tank engine. So who owns this odd car? Jay Leno of course, the custom vehicle is making around 810 horsepower. While the custom ride is quite cool, I can't imagine how much Leno spends to fill the gas tank, the fuel economy on the Blastolene Special has to be horrible.

Drive Angry Movie with Dodge Charger & Chevy Chevelle

Well it looks like Nicolas Cage is strapping on the seat belt and putting the pedal to the metal in another car movie. This isn't the sequel to Gone in 60 Seconds, but it still looks like it's going to be cool. It's actually a mix between Gone in 60 Seconds and Ghost Rider. Cage plays a vengeful father chasing after the men who killed his daughter. But there's a twist to it, he's left hell and the devil wants him back.

Drive Angry is suppose to be broadcast in all 3D, there will be all types of cool muscle cars, hot rods, and hot chicks in it. The two main stars I noticed was a classic Dodge Charger and a Chevrolet Chevelle. The most inspirational muscle cars in the past century. And I did notice what looks to be a 57 Chevy in the movie as well.

But it makes me wonder, will the movie be a bust like Ghost Rider. That movie was pretty bad, even if you just classify it as an action movie. I have my thumbs crossed on this one, as you probably know I'm a die hard muscle car fan. Any movie with muscle cars in it I have to go see in the theater.

1966 Ford GT-40 Award Winner at Kirkland Concours d’Elegance

One of the clear winners at the Kirkland Concours d'Elegance was this 1966 Ford GT-40 you see before you. Every year the show has a vibrant car collector scene, you'll see cars you've never seen before in your entire life. Well this eight annual show was taken by the Ford fans, as the "Screaming Fords" class wowed automotive enthusiasts everywhere. Several significant Ford powered cars were on display, included GT40s, GT350s and Cobras as well. The eight annual Kirkland Concours d'Elegance overall was just an astonishing show to attend.

GM switches to new Engine Oil Dexos1

Lately I've been thinking bad things about technology: first off it's polluted the world, diminished people's jobs, and has made us lazier and fatter. Well my outlook is starting to change on technology for the automotive world. At first I thought I would not like the new technology because it would make it harder to work on cars and probably take away that cool exhaust tone coming from our gas propelled engine.

Well now I'm kind of seeing the light with automotive technology. GM has just introduced the Volt to us that now gets great gas mileage and overall less pollutant to our atmosphere. Well along with that, GM has just made a new decision to add a new oil to the lineup that not only lasts longer, but extends our engine life. GM's grade of oil is called Dexos1, this will be a benefit to our environment since there will be an increasing mileage interval between recommended oil changes.

Strange Porsche Car Crash

What do you do when you can't pass a Porsche? You use the rear-engine as a ramp! Word "wow" comes to mind when I first spoted this crazy picture. Someone even modified the picture with the words "Axis & Allies." Hey, wouldn't this make an amazing poster for a bedroom? Well that's if you only like American muscle cars.

1985 Saab 900 Turbo Limousine

Now this isn't something you see on the road everyday, a 1985 Saab 900 Turbo limousine. Although I'm not a big Saab fan I must say this custom limousine sure looks cool. It kind of reminds me of a Hurst! While the 900 Saab was offered in a coupe, sedan, and hatchback. The 900 Saab was never offered as a limousine, so who decided to modify it into this extended version? Well we don't have a real name, but we do have a nickname, they call him the mad scientist over on the Saab forum. The limousine Saab 900 is fully functional, it has a five speed manual transmission and 145,000 actual miles on the odometer.
