Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Picture on Facebook

What better place to reveal an official picture of the 2011 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible but on the largest website on the internet, Facebook! GM seems like they are working on the advertising, this was a great idea. I must say, the new convertible looks really good. Both V6 and V8 models will have this feature if you want it. Sales of the convertible Camaro will go on sale this March. So hopefully we'll see a few of them cruising out on Woodward next year in 2011.

GM’s custom SS Camaro at 2010 SEMA Show

Just this past week GM revealed it's two custom Chevy Camaros at the 2010 SEMA show. Some say the debut of these two Camaro symbolized the opening for a sub performance brand. But after listending to Chris Perry, vice president of Chevrolet marketing. He said “For now it might not be a sub-brand. It might be initiatives around parts and accessories.” So there's still some hope in GM that there will be more customizing and performance in their cars. I just hope one day they might revive the Firebird or the Grand National. I miss these cars and would love for them to come back in the automotive world.

Lingenfelter Camaro Runs 9s in 1/4 Mile

The new Lingenfelter Camaro is chasing down the 1/4 mile in a hurry, coming in at 9.04 second in the 1/4 Mile. A very impressive time for the 2010 Camaro, it would of been real stunning if the Camaro dipped in the 8s. They are so close, I'm sure on a cold day they could achieve 8s. But when you look underneath the hood don't expect the LS3 V8, Lingenfelter has switched over to GM's LS9 motor. It's still unsaid how much horsepower the Lingenfelter Camaro is making.

HPP Firebird Trans Am Conversion based off 2011 Camaro

Heide Performance Products, a customizing company out of Madison Heights Michigan has come out with their version of the Pontiac Trans Am. Over the last past year we've seen a few aftermarket car companies come out with there own version of the Firebird. Just like those companeis, I think HPP failed miserably at the job. All they've really done is changed both the front and back of the 2011 Chevy Camaro and I must say the car looks hideous. But what does look hot is the blond standing next to this car, she sure is gorgeous! This is a picture that I'm going to save for my wallpaper background on my computer. I still give respect out to HPP for trying out the job, it's not an easy task converting a car into something else. Maybe one aftermarket will eventually get a conversion right or maybe GM will just bring the Firebird back under the Chevy lineup.

Transformers Saleen Mustang “Barricade” on Ebay

Just this past week I spotted the Saleen Mustang from Transformers up on Ebay. The bidding of the Mustang got all the way up to $65,200, not a bad price for a three year old movie prop. But, the owner didn't think it was enough as he set the reserve price a lot higher. I can agree with him, this Saleen Mustang might be worth megabucks. Especially since it's one of three Mustang props used in the first Transformers movie.

The Saleen Mustang isn't stripped either, it features all the standard Saleen options including 3V Saleen modified engine, mated with a 5spd transmission, full Saleen body kit, Saleen hood, Saleen sail panels, Saleen rear wing, Saleen 20" wheels, Saleen leather interior, Saleen gauges, Saleen shifter, Saleen badging, Saleen suspension, Saleen exhaust, Saleen carbon fiber front chin, and Saleen carbon fiber rear diffuser. Man I would just love to own this Mustang, it's one of my favorite cars to ever star in a movie.

Custom Mustangs at 2010 SEMA Show

Ford is planning on bringing nine totally customized Mustang to the SEMA show this year. There will be a Mobsteel Mustang created for the mobster movie fans, that will be sporting a STS turbocharger. And then there will be a Creations 'n Chrome Mustang GT that will sporting a pink bait job and body kit. Out of the nice custom Mustangs being show, chances are you'll find one Ford Mustang that you'll like. Each Mustang will have the new 5.0L V8 underneath the hood!

2011 Mustang GT 5.0L V8 runs 8s in 1/4 Mile

If you thought the 11 second second pass on just slicks and a custom tune was impressive, well Evolution Performance takes the new 5.0L V8 to new heights with a 8 second pass in the 1/4 mile. Anyone who's made fun of the Mustang in the past are eating those words right about now. Personally, I've always had a love for all muscle cars, no matter what company! I guess that's why I have a car from all three American car companies in my driveway: Dodge Durango, SVT Cobra Mustang, and Pontiac Trans AM.

I can't stand the car enthusiasts that stand for one particular car and hate the rest, those people are just tools!!! And if you do a lot of researching on car forums, the automotive world is just filled with them. GM fans hating on Ford fans, Ford fans hating on Mopar fans, so on and so on! I guess you can call is carcism! And we all wonder how slavery came to be, it's just amazing how we can't get along with each other. A lot of people will say don't mix politics with the car hobby, well it's hard not to when you see all the hatred going on! I just laugh in the face of all the GM fans out there that rant and rave about their LS1 Fbodies!

This Mustang is just sick! Sounds like a fighter jet going by!

Evolution Performance 8 Second 2011 Mustang

Evolution Performance just raised the bar with the new 5.0L V8 in the 2011 Mustang. They were able to take a the 2011 Mustang and do a 8 second pass at the drag strip. If you know anything about drag racing, this is very uncommon thing to do with an engine coming from a production car. Most engines would just fall apart when you tried to get them to go sub 9s, goes to show the new 5.0L V8 has lived up to its name. To achieve the 8 second pass in the 1/4 mile, Evolution Performance used a ProCharger supercharger running 24 pounds of boost. The official time was 8.89 @ 148 mph, amazingly impressive!

392 Hemi for the 2011 Challenger SRT8

Well it looks like Dodge will be reviving the 392 cubic inch Hemi engine for the new 2011 Dodge Challenger SRT8. This is a 5.4 liter engine that will be making 470 horsepower, 45 more horsepower compared to last year's 6.1 liter Hemi V8 in the Challenger SRT8. It's kind of weird to have a smaller engine that makes more horsepower. The new powertrain in the SRT8 Challenger should allow the muscle car to go mid 12s in the 1/4 mile. Dodge will make only 1,492 copies of the 2011 Challenger SRT8 392.

2011 T-Top Chevy Camaro

Aftermarket customizer Drop Top Customs has just come out with there version of the 2011 Camaro and it's featuring something different than any company has ever constructed. Remember T-Tops on the LS1 Camaro? Well that's what Drop Top Customs has achieved! I have to say, T-Tops sure look good on the new 2011 Chevy Camaro. And believe or not, the modification really isn't that expensive, Drop Top Customs tagged it with a price of $6,500.
