I was looking for a chrome substitute and stumbled across Cosmichrome by Goldtouch. Unlike real chrome plating systems, it just needs to sprayed on by their patented Cosmichrome E-Gun. So how well does it replicate chrome? Well pretty darn good if you checkout the pictures down below of the hot rod, Mustang, and all chrome BMW. The all chrome BMW is just out of this world, so is the orange chrome hot rod. The word to describe these cars is "extreme," the paint job truly is unreal.

Supposedly Cosmichrome has been around for six years, it just makes me wonder why the paint hasn't taken off. I've been doing some research and have found out that some automotive enthusiasts have been using Cosmichrome on their wheels. Durability tests have shown Cosmichrome has lasted through 312 hours of salt tests. But, will it withstand rocks and other elements on the road such as bugs and tar.

I guess the only way to know is to try it ourselves. I have a cheap set of wheels around, I might give it a try.
