POR-15 for Muscle Car Restoration
When it comes to restoration, you should checkout POR-15! There's a ton of automotive enthusiasts that swear by the stuff. It basically just stops rust in it's place, not allowing it to spread more across your muscle. All you have to do is first prep the surface, use a Bristle Disk from Eastwoo and sand the flaking rust off. The company claims you don't have to sand all the rust off, just the flaking part. After that then apply there "METAL-PREP & READY," which allows for the best adhesion for POR-15.
I'm willing to try the stuff on my 2002 Trans Am WS.6. Already I have a few rust spots forming, see I want to catch the rust before it starts getting bad and putting holes in my sheet metal. If you don't do this, you'll be paying tons of cash to restore your muscle car. POR-15 can save you tons of cash in the long run, if you plan on keeping your muscle car for a long time.
Me, I'll go to the grave with my muscle cars. I never want to sell them, thus I want to prolong the live of the frame and underbody. I actually plan to repaint my car in a few years as well. So when you get a chance muscle car fans, check the stuff out. It's already been advertised on "My Classic Car" with Dennis Gage. It seems to be the best stuff for the job, the option is sand blasting your whole underbody which will be super messy and repainting it.
I plan on using POR-15 next year when I get some cash in my pocket, I'll let my readers now how the results are.
